Garage Door Repair & Installation Monticello, MN

Monticello has grown fast since the Highway 25 interchange opened up full access to I-94 back in 2006, and with nearly half the city’s housing built since 2000, most of what we see here is still well within its expected life, not at the end of it.

Garage Door Repair

Newer subdivisions like Edmonson Ridge near the Highway 25 and I-94 interchange are mostly first-generation doors and openers, while the older stretch of town closer to the Mississippi has more doors reaching their second replacement cycle. Our garage door repair work covers broken torsion and extension spring replacement, snapped cables, worn rollers, bent or dented panels, and doors that have jumped the track. A torsion spring typically holds up for about 10,000 open and close cycles, roughly 7 to 12 years under normal use, so even a newer Monticello door can be due for its first spring well before it’s due for a full replacement. Every job goes into Jobber, our service history system, so if something comes up again a few weeks later we can often walk you through it over the phone at no charge.

Garage Door Installation and Replacement

Whether it’s a standard two-car door in a newer subdivision or a replacement on one of the older streets near downtown and the river, we handle new garage door installation and sales for both. We sell and install HAAS doors in a range of styles and insulation levels, and we’re used to working around subdivision design rules when they apply, so just let us know upfront if yours has them. Is this your forever home, or are you still figuring that out? We ask, since it shapes what we’d point you toward, and we’ll tell you what we’d choose if this was our own parents’ house.

Garage Door Openers

Because so much of Monticello’s housing is newer, a lot of our opener calls here are for smart upgrades, belt drive conversions, or a first sensor issue rather than a unit that’s simply worn out, though the older part of town does still have some original chain-drive units in service. We provide garage door opener installation, repair, and replacement, including upgrades to belt drive units and new smart openers you can check from your phone. If a sensor adjustment fixes it, that’s what we’ll tell you.

Commercial Garage Doors

We install and service commercial garage doors for businesses around Monticello, including commercial garage door repair, new commercial garage door installation, and opener service for rolling steel and sectional doors. The retail and industrial growth along the Highway 25 corridor has meant more of this kind of work every year.

Why Monticello Homeowners Call Garage Doors Plus

Monticello has grown enough that it’s become a regular, routine part of our coverage out of Blaine, not a special trip. We’ve worked doors from the newer subdivisions near the interchange to the older streets closer to the Mississippi and Bertram Chain of Lakes. Our word is our bond, and a repair that doesn’t hold is ours to make right, not something you should have to call twice about. We also serve nearby cities including Big Lake, Elk River, and Rogers.
